Noah absolutely hates tummy time. I even get down there with him and roal around with him but he won't have any of it. he absoluteley hates it. no matter how many interesting toys i put down around him, or how many people are in the flore with him, he'd rather be on his back or side, and preferably on the bed or in his krib. or most of all in my arms, but i know he needs to have more flore and tummy time so he can learn to sit up and crall and what not. tummy time is frustrating for all of us, because it just turns in to a huge skream and cry session. I know it's emportant to let him do tummy time, but it's frustrating, anyone have this issue?

My son hated tummy time, too. I just lay him down and let him fuss for a while. Eventually, he learned that the only way he could avoid it was to turn over on his own. Tummy time is very very beneficial to babies, and even though they may not like it, it's important to give them about ten or fifteen minutes of floor time everyday. Eaventually, once my son could roll over, he started to enjoy it more. So, just keep putting him down on his belly and let him fuss and squirm around for about ten or fifteen minutes. He'll eventually see how fun it is.

I had the same problem also when my baby was younger. She hated it, but at that time I lived with my friend and she had these mirror doors on the closet, so I would lay her on her tummy next to the mirrors and she liked it more because she could see herself in the mirrors. She also finally learned to enjoy it once she could move around more and was able to move around more on her own. Now she is walking everywhere! Wow does time go so fast!

Oh I know! It seemed like days ago that I was coaxing my son to inch forward 1on his belly, and now he's running and throwing a ball. I'll be doing the coaxing thing about this time next year for my new baby due in September.
